Jannette Quackenbush is a folklorist, historian, and author whose work has preserved authentic American ghost stories, legends, and cryptid lore for more than three decades. As founder of the 21 Crows American Folklore Archives and creator of Dark Journeys with Jannette, she has become one of the nation’s most recognized researchers documenting hauntings and folklore tied to verifiable historical events.

Her books, podcasts, and programs explore the haunted places and forgotten histories of the United States—from the ghost towns of Appalachia and the rail tunnels of Ohio to the deserts of the American West.
